Llandudno Day 2.

Our second day in Llandudno dawned bright and sunny and no-one was up before 7.00am !
After a delicious breakfast, we were all excited to see Mr. Mitchell, Mrs Hurry and Mrs Stirland who had arrived for a day trip!
We walked briskly to the tram station and caught our tram to the Copper Mines. We had a great time there and learned a lot about the Bronze Age.
We spent the afternoon on the beach, enjoying the sunshine and the toys Mr.Mitchell had bought with him.
Our evening has been spent culturally listening to an Accapello choir coming from the fuselage of a DC9.
We were then lucky enough to watch the Lifeboat come in to the beach from a training exercise whilst enjoying our chips.
All are now safely tucked up in bed - packing and shopping to look forward to tomorrow.

Goodnight x

Llandudno 2012

We arrived safely after an uneventful journey. We have had the most brilliant day, including the weather.

Everyone is now in bed and settled down for the night to store up fresh energy for tomorrow.

They are under strict instructions not to get up before 7am unlike those who were up at 3.30 this morning!!!!

Unfortunately, we we cannot load any pictures but will try again later.

Sorry and goodnight x

Burwardsley Day 2

Hello,

Well after yesterday we thought we couldn't fit anymore into 1 day but we think we just about managed it today!

All children slept brilliantly through the night, they were  absolutely fantastic.

There were clearly some early risers in the boys dorm with the first "sounds of wake" coming through the wall at around 5:30! In complete contrast, the girls had to be woken up at 7:30 to be ready in time for breakfast!

The excitement soon began when we realised, not only were there a selection of cereals, toast, jams and fruits, but our lovely chef was rustling up a cooked breakfast for us as well! "Hotel Burwardsley is amazing" one table shouted.

We spent the day in 3 groups spending approximately an hour and half on each activity.

Children became Archeologists, heading back in time to the Iron Age. They studied weapons and tools from that era, learned inside a celtic roundhouse and excavated an ancient celtic roundhouse from 2000 years ago.

As well as this, the children have all worked with clay to create firstly a coil pot and then use the techniques learnt to design and create there own piece using their new skills. As you can see from the pictures below we are a class of talented sculpture artists.

Childern also learnt a huge amount from the surroundings of Burwardsley under the expert guidence of Mr Astbury and Mrs Siddorns. All children were led on a walk of natural wonder through the woodland and a huge thanks must go to our star guides who walked the hill (mountain as the children described) 3 times!

"They'll sleep well tonight"..................the children said as Mr Astbury and Mrs Siddorns departed!

After another fabulous meal of chicken roast dinner or pasta bolognese followed by homemade chocolate cake and ice cream or doughnuts, we headed out for some more fresh air and some team games.

We came back inside for a wash and a change and headed to disco room! Party games, crazy dance moves, sweets and giggles made sure everyone was having a ball!

We are just settling down now into our pj's ready for a story and hopefully another cracking nights sleep. With all they have done today.......its amazing they are still awake now. I know we're all exhauszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Love Year 3!
