Tuesday was our annual pancake race day. The winners from each class competed to be crowned overall champion. The finalist were:
Ethan - Reception
Summer - Year 1
Malachai - Year 2
Chloe - Year 3
Luke - Year 4
Ben - Year 5
Zack - Year 6
Zack won overall and collected the trophy from Mrs Nicholls.
We completed the event with a Mum's race, Dad's race and a toddlers race. These were run with great enthusiasm and cheered on by all of the children.
At Shavington Primary School we provide a secure, stimulating and caring environment in which we give children the best possible start to their education.

The Shakespeare Project begins!
Over the last few weeks year 4 have started their Shakespeare Project 'The Tempest'. Having studied the whole play, they will then be given a small scene to practise and perform at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.
The play starts with a storm and a shipwreck and the children have discovered that the storm is magical and has been conjured up by a character called Prospero.
In literacy lessons the children have been writing and performing their own spells to change the weather. So if there is freak weather, we are not responsible!
