Church visit
This year we were very fortunate to attend a special service at St John's church in Shavington.
KS1 listened to the story of Christmas, read by Mrs Rivers and then sang a selection of carols.
KS2 heard a poem that Mrs Rivers had written about the joys of receiving presents at Christmas, and how you love them, but they can not give you love back like Jesus can. The choir sang beautifully, complimenting KS2 children when they sang a selection of Christmas songs.
We would like to thank Steven Ingrouille, the vicar at St Johns for welcoming us to his church.

Christmas nativity
This Christmas Reception, year 1 and year 2 did their Nativity production 'Born in a Barn'.
The story was based around the original Christmas story; through the eyes of the animals present.
Year 2 were the main characters within the story, supported by Reception and year 1 who were an excellent choir and percussionists.

Winter Wonderland
Year 1 went on a magical trip to Winter Wonderland in Telford. As their topic is fairy stories, they were delighted to see lots of little cottages filled with their favourite nursery rhyme characters.
They were delighted when they moved on to meeting Santa in his Grotto, accompanied by his naughty elves, who kept playing tricks and stealing cookies. They were given a gift to take home and put under their Christmas tree.
